What to Do When You “Feel” God is Absent?

I have had times in the past where I “felt” God was absent. But I’ve learned several things over the years...

1. Not to rely on my “feelings”. My walk with God is a walk of faith. Not a walk of “feelings.”

2. I’ve learned God is never “absent” in the life of a believer. Holy Spirit came to live inside of me when I became a believer. And He promised never to leave me nor turn his back on me. (Hebrews 13:5b)

3. One of my favorite “go to” scriptures is Isaiah 49:16 (ESV): “Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;” This verse for me is like a tender hug from God. It gives me comfort and strength to keep going forward, knowing God is with me.
